The crap continually sold on the market to consumers is not only insulting, but also a deplorable burden on our environment and economy. Imagine if you will, that all products worked as advertised, were built to last, and added in some way to the aesthetic value of our lives. Now back to reality. In this day and age, there really is no excuse for creating bad a product. The most common causes, however, seem to be lack of training, laziness and/or greed.Although the handle does allow for pretty good pouring compared to many other kettles, not only did our bird not whistle, but the spring mechanism that controls the top is far too tight, which leads to easily burned fingers. This thing may look like a streamlined relic, but was built more for the landfill than for people.
